The Stadtwerke Osnabrueck AG disposed of their bus station in the Lotter Strasse at the end of 2005. The 3.5 hectare property in the attractive and highly desirable western part of the city, which is popular among service providers as well as retail and catering businesses, is to be redeveloped for new commercial use. For this purpose the City of Osnabrueck is seeking to have this property listed as an urban renewal area. The first ideas for subsequent utilisation were gathered during a municipal competition.
